Jacob Gagnon Tremblay practises psychotherapy from an integrative perspective, drawing primarily on psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) approaches. He favours a co-constructive process with his clients, within the context of a collaborative, authentic, and secure therapeutic relationship. His work is tailored to the needs, preferences, and pace of each individual or couple, while taking into account their life experiences, personality, and therapeutic goals. He therefore offers flexible and personalized support that fosters a deeper understanding of the difficulties experienced, in a climate of empathy and care.
Jacob Gagnon Tremblay is currently completing his doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Sherbrooke. He is expected to obtain his degree in September 2026. His research focuses on the interactions between substance use, psychological distress, and couple dynamics. Throughout his doctoral training and clinical practice, he has had the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, ranging from young adults to older populations, in various clinical settings. He has also worked with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, which has contributed to his sensitivity to each person’s unique realities, values, and experiences. This diversity of experiences has allowed him to develop a flexible approach that can be adapted to a wide range of psychological and relational difficulties.
