Several CCCF psychologists offer training or conferences to professionals or students on various mental health topics, and more specifically on couple therapy.

Training sessions are tailored to the specific needs of the group that requests them. For example, CCCF psychologists trained a group of psychologists working with couples on diagnostic assessment and therapeutic mandates. They have also set up training modules for social workers and psychologists in the public sector to help them support couples in the context of short-term interventions. They developed training aimed at Canadian Forces mental health practitioners to help them better assess when couple therapy would be appropriate. Finally, they provided training on the management of substance use and addictions in couples. If you are interested, please contact us to discuss your needs and terms.

In addition, the CCCF clinic welcomes doctoral students that are in the last stages of their psychology program that wish to develop their skills in couple therapy. For more information, please contact Dr. Nathalie Gauthier, psychologist.
