CCCF psychologists have an expertise in couple therapy as well as on various themes specific to assessment and intervention in psychotherapy. We can share our knowledge and clinical experience through tailor-made training.

Several CCCF psychologists offer training or conferences to professionals or students on various mental health topics, and more specifically on couple therapy.

Training sessions are created to be tailored to the specific needs of the group that requests them. For example, CCCF psychologists offered training to a group of couple psychologists on diagnostic assessment and therapeutic mandates. They have also set up training courses for social workers and psychologists in the public sector to help them support couples in the context of short-term orientation and intervention. Finally, they developed training that targeted Canadian Forces mental health practitioners to assess when couple therapy can be appropriate. Interested parties can contact us to discuss needs and terms. Finally, they offered training on the management of consumption and addictions in the couple. Interested parties are encouraged to contact us to discuss requirements and terms.

In addition, the CCCF welcomes doctoral students in psychology at the end of their course wishing to develop their skills in couple therapy. For more information, please contact Dr. Nathalie Gauthier, psychologist.
