Dr. Emilie Plouffe-Roy practices psychotherapy using an integrative approach that mainly includes cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and systemic approaches. She presents a particular concern for the adaptation of her interventions to the problems encountered as well as to the needs and expectations of each. She stands out for her ease in creating a therapeutic link with her clients.
Dre Emilie Plouffe-Roy has been practicing psychotherapy since 2017. She completed her studies at Université Laval and obtained her doctorate in psychology (D.Ps.) in 2020. Her work has focused on victims of sexual assault at childhood and the implications for adult sexuality. Her intervention experience began in the psychology consultation service at Université Laval with individuals and couples. She continued her clinical career in the front-line health and social services network, in adult mental health and general psychosocial services, where she was able to intervene with individuals and groups. Through her private practice, she has developed an expertise working with perinatal issues: transition to parenthood, post-partum depression, etc.
