Dr. Virginie Sorel practices psychotherapy using an integrative approach inspired by 2nd and 3rd wave cognitive-behavioral therapy, humanistic and psychodynamic approaches, as well as schema therapy. She is keen to apply her creativity and knowledge in order to adapt well to the issues, needs and personality of her clients. Dr. Virginie Sorel has been practicing psychotherapy since 2018. She has obtained her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Université Laval in 2021. Her work has focused on pathological gambling and related addictions. Her clinical training began in the Service de consultation en psychologie of Université Laval with adults. Her career in psychotherapy continued in the front-line health and social services network, in adult mental health, where she was able to intervene with individuals and groups. She then practiced in adult psychiatry, where she was able to practice with a severe and complex clientele. She also worked for the employee assistance program of a firm. Dr. Sorel works as a psychologist with individuals grappling with various issues.
